I work with children dealing with behavioral issues and I have been able to use this book page by page to teach about family/sibling relationships; the different kinds of gifts we can give; and diversity/culture. "This story is told with great skill, intelligence and wit.  There are a few giggles for a parent or an older child reading the book.  The twins make connections as they explore their sense of the world through the magic of play.  The story is full of some of life's many messages and growth.  I love the subtlety of one message, "a basketball is a cool gift to share."  That is one of the statements which lends itself to the true spirit of sportsmanship.  I would love to add some additional tags to this excellent book, education, parenting and family values.  

The illustrations are vivid with muted tones which clearly mirror the text.  This depiction of color, space and scale will allow very young children to focus on the images as the text is read to them.  This story is unforgettable.  I cannot wait to read another book by this author.  I highly recommend this book.  Everyone will enjoy it."
